Abstract: The article analyzes the key role of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Russian Federation in the system of early detection of family dysfunction and prevention of neglect of minors. The legal grounds of their activities, the main methods of work are considered, and special attention is paid to the practical implementation of these methods by the example of the experience of employees of the internal affairs bodies of the Rostov region. The author concludes that employees of the internal affairs bodies play a key, and often paramount role in the system of early detection of family dysfunction and prevention of neglect of minors.
