Information Technology as a Guarantee of Public Administration Efficiency

efficiency of public administration. In the modern world, IT not only shapes the new quality of economic relations but also transforms the very nature of governance. While in the late 20th century IT was regarded merely as an auxiliary tool, today it has evolved into the main guarantee of effective public administration. The competitiveness and stability of a state largely depend on how successfully it applies innovative solutions to provide services to society and to ensure transparency in management processes.
The purpose of this article is to reveal the essence and the role of IT in the Republic of Armenia, as well as to determine how the implementation and the widespread adoption of information technology contribute to the increase in the efficiency of public administration by ensuring free search, acquisition, and dissemination of information. The article addresses the following issues: how information technology promotes greater transparency and accountability in governance, and how its use enhances citizen engagement in public administration and accessibility of public services.
