One of the key directions in the development of modern transportation is the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs). These vehicles ensure energy efficiency, reduce harmful emissions, and contribute significantly to the achievement of sustainable development goals in this field.
However, this technological advancement brings about new challenges. The presence of high-voltage batteries and complex electrical systems arises risks that were previously unknown in conventional gasoline and diesel vehicles. Therefore, ensuring safety in this rapidly evolving sector requires innovative approaches, integration of international best practices, and coordinated organizational efforts at the local level. The purpose of this article is to provide rescue personnel and first responders with essential knowledge of relevant safety standards, enabling them to make quick and correct decisions in the event of an electric vehicle accident, collision, fire, or other emergency. These standards outline the steps for assessing the situation, handling incidents involving electric vehicles, and implementing special measures for the safe evacuation of individuals.
