AbstractThe article examines the role of schools in the prevention of juvenile delinquency considering them as social and educational institutions. It analyzes the main factors contributing to the formation of deviant behavior among minors and emphasizes the importance of the school environment in the early identification and prevention of behavioral deviations. Particular attention is paid to the need for a comprehensive approach to educational, social, and psychological activities within schools. Based on an analysis of international practices and United Nations documents, the article proposes considering schools not only as educational institutions but also as institutional platforms for the early prevention of juvenile delinquency. It argues that preventive activities implemented within the school environment can function as an integrated anti-criminogenic mechanism.
