Abstract․ The article explores the development of modern national security concepts in the context of economic sanctions. The analysis is based on the idea that national security is no longer limited to military threats alone but also encompasses economic stability, technological independence, information control, and energy sovereignty. Special attention is paid to how different countries respond to sanction pressures. Through comparative analysis, the national security strategies of Russia, Armenia, the United States, and the European Union are presented, highlighting their approaches to addressing economic constraints. The study also examines the international legal norms, particularly regarding the legitimacy of sanctions and the principle of state sovereignty. The article concludes that sanctions have become a key factor in shaping national security policies, emphasizing the necessity of adaptation and interconnectivity under conditions of global competition.
