Online Conference on Countering Drug Trafficking

   On the 6th of July, 2021, under the auspices of the Bureau for Coordination of Countering Organized Crime and Other Dangerous Types of Crimes of CIS Member States, the Police Educational Complex of RA conducted an international scientific-practical online conference on "Combating Drug Trafficking within the global information platform. Problems and Perspectives".

During his opening speech, the Head of the Police Educational Complex of RA, police major-general  Mushegh Babayan greeted and thanked to the participants of the conference: "The fight against drug trafficking is one of the most important issues for the law enforcement systems of the CIS member states. Through such meetings, the effectiveness of the fight against crime will increase more."

The director of Countering new challenges and threats and Security Cooperation Department of CIS Executive Committee Alexander Burov and Deputy Head of the Bureau for Coordination of Countering Organized Crime and other types of dangerous crime of CIS member states Eduard Derevyanko also greeted to the participants, thanked to the Educational Complex  for the meeting arrangement, as well as gave importance to the role of MIA (police) of CIS in countering drug trafficking. The conference was conducted by the Deputy Head of the Educational Complex, police lieutenant colonel Misak Markosyan. 

The Head of the Chair of Criminal Procedure of the Academy of Police Educational Complex of RA, Associate professor, PhD of Law, police lieutenant colonel Artak Hovhannisyan  had a speech on “Legal and organizational issues of cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs (police) of CIS member states in fighting against drug trafficking at the current stage”.

16 participants had reports at the conference. Generally, 50 representatives of 20 organizations of 8 CIS member states participated at the conference.
