The newly formed courses on  Patrolling have been launched

        One of important police reform projects, intended during 2020-2022, is a formation of new patrol service. The mission of future patrol officers is relied on Educational Complex of Police of the Republic of Armenia. Since July of 2020 it has been launched the admission process of applicants wishing to be appointed on patrol service.

For the first group of admission it was announced 770 competition positions and civil persons, as well as police current officers competed equally. 2500 applicants applied for the admission.    

On September of 2020 the admission, checking of vocational qualification was launched, which included the applicants’ checking of vocational skills, physical preparedness. Applicants that got positive marks, had also interview, during which commissions full of psychologists checked the applicants’ personal qualities and values, as well as general psychological image.

Because of war, commenced on the 27th of September, the final admission results were summed up at the beginning of January of 2021. 770 applicants, who got maximal positive results, passed interview, among which 496 were civil persons, 247 of them-police officers. 46 of applicants were female.

On the 18th of January, it was launched 5-month courses on patrol policing.

Head of Educational Complex of Police of the Republic of Armenia, police general major M. Babayan greeted to the 770 patrol police officers. Deputy minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia K. Grigoryan  and Head of Training Center of Educational Comples, police colonel A. Sukiasyan also presented at the event.

The educational process was realized for that special purpose and with a new methodology. The courses will be carried out by lecturers chosen by international experts of competition  committee.

Already in June, our countrymen will see the first patrol officers and will feel the breath of quality and efficiency of patrol policing.
