The meeting of responsible officers of the Training and operational partnership against Organized Crime (TOPCOP) took place

    From 15 to 16 of November, there was held a regular meeting of the responsible members for the regional program of the Training and operational partnership against Organized Crime (TOPCOP) within EU Agency for the Training of Law Enforcement Authorities (CEPOL) in Budapest, Hungary.

The Educational Complex was represented by the Deputy Head of the International Cooperation and IT division of the Educational Complex of Police of RA.

The purpose of the meeting was to get acquainted with the peculiarities of the educational systems of law enforcement agencies of partner countries, introduction of e-learning platforms in these institutions, as well as discuss the need and feasibility of organizing additional retraining courses aimed to strengthen the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in countering crime.

The participants presented the law enforcement training and retraining systems in their countries, in particular, the general structure of national thematic retraining,  the procedure for planning and conducting retraining in order to improve law enforcement skills within the events on new crime trends and threats, the choice of the target group, the duration of the course, the number participants, responsible authorities for the course, common challenges and difficulties.

The possibility of including a unified program of anti-trafficking courses in educational institutions of law enforcement agencies of the partner countries was also discussed, on the basis of which retraining courses in this area would be held at the national level.
