Meeting on “Reading Strategy”

     On the 15th of February, the report was presented on “Reading strategy” at the Educational Complex of Police of RA, and professor-lecturing staff took part in. The Head of education quality union of the Educational Complex of Police of RA, police captain T. Khachatryan in his open speech mentioned that events would be continued thanks to which students would be acquainted with the best practical methodology applied in progressed HEIs.

The lecturers were selected among the Chairs of Criminal intelligence and Forensic Sciences on “Reading strategy”, who had studied highly qualified foreign HEIs and made relevant report speech.

The report was made of three stages: pre-reading, reading and post-reading. Lecturer of the Chair of Criminal intelligence and Forensic Sciences, police major A. Smbatyan and senior lecturer, police major L. Sardaryan presented the strategic stages of reading. A. Smbatyan introduced a short report related to pre-reading and reading stages of study, as well as based on examples, revealed how the vocational texts should be read, in order to make the process of learning more productive. L. Sardaryan talked about post-reading strategies, through which the learners could use the techniques, in order to check whether they understood the provided material or not.

Head of the Police Educational Complex of RA, PhD of Law, Associate Professor, police colonel Manuk Muradyan emphasized the importance of such events, and reading strategy stages would be important, as it would promote to reading and understand vocational hard texts, while Law interpretations and shortcomings.

According to Manuk Muradyan, the given strategy serves to understand known or unknown shortcomings in Law, gaining necessary flexibility and skills for further vocational activities. He also expressed his gratitude to the organizers of the event as such kind of discussions will also be arranged soon.
