Workshop on “Democratic Control of the Crowd” at the Police Educational Complex

13 to 17 November 2017 - Within the framework of the Armenian-French Action Plan, a workshop on “Democratic Control of the Crowd” was held at the Police Educational Complex of RA. Lieutenant General Hovhannes Varyan, Head of the Educational Complex, welcomed the participants and highlighting the relevance of the topic underlined the need of exchange of experience.

The workshops were conducted by the experts from the Companies for Republican Security (CRS), Head of a small association Mr. Bruno Cotte and police brigadier Mr. Stefan Boghpegh. The 16 officers from the Police Central Apparatus, Provincial Departments and Educational Complex participated in the workshop. During the five-day training, the experts presented the best practices, the legislation and the policing of the European countries on the crowd control. The workshop participants had the opportunity to discuss issues raised and to present their ideas on making processes more effectively and efficiently. The workshop was held in a constructive and productive discussions atmosphere.
