Schoolchildren of Yerevan basic school No. 51 visit the RoA Police Eduational Complex

23 March 2016 – The RoA Police Educational Complex hosted the schoolchildren of Yerevan basic shcool No. 51, accompanied by police veterans. Colonel Karine Kirakosyan, Deputy Head of the Educational-Methodical and Development Departure, met the schoolchildren. Mrs. Kirakosyan gave an overview of the activities and objectives of the Police Educational Complex as well as admission requirements.

The schoolchildren had a short tour in the territory of the Educational Complex. They lit candles in the chapel of the Educational Complex and gave tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide and to the police officers who participated in the Great Patriotic War. They held a minute’s silence in memory of the police officers killed in the Artsakh war and for the defense of the Armenian borders.

The schoolchildren were also in the museum located in the Educational Complex to get aqcuainted with the history of the Armenian police. Besides, Ms. Hripsime Khachatrtyan, senior lecturer at the department of Criminal Law and Criminology, spoke to the children about juvenile delinquency and punishment. 

Upon the end of the event, Ms. Kirakosyan and the police veterans underlined the importance of such meetings, which will further strengthen collaboration between the police and public schools shaping an atmoshphere of trust towards police officers. The guests were given souvenirs with the logo of the Educational Complex.
