2 June 2015 - In the framework of the “Week of the Russian language” events organized in the Republic of Armenia, a literary evening was held at Andranik Margaryan high school dedicated to the life and work of A.S. Griboyedov, great Russian politician, diplomat, poet, playwright, composer which coincided with his 220^th anniversary. 

In the framework of these events the Awarding ceremony of the winners and participants of the Republican competition of compositions and essays dedicated to the anniversary of A. S. Griboyedov took place . The contest was organized by the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Yerevan jointly with the Armenian Ministry of Education and Science, the Russian Specialists Association in Armenia, the Armenian Association of Teachers of Russian Language and Literature.

The essay competition was attended by high school students and students from Armenian universities.

The main objective of the competition was to raise the interest on the Russian language and literature, the creativity role of A. S. Griboyedov in art and the history of Armenians, as well as to enrich the students' knowledge on literary, historical heritage of Griboyedov, to develop the creative abilities of young people and identify gifted students and high school students.

Police Educational Complex student Nazeli Sargsyan, Ani Kirakosyan, Shushan Hodabashyan, Armine Aghasyan and Angela Harutyunyan were awarded diplomas for the participation and encouraging prizes.
