Educational complex celebrates 97th anniversary of establishment of the Armenian Police

15 April 2015 - A number of events devoted to the 97th anniversary of establishment of the Armenian Police were held in the RoA Police Educational Complex. Distinguished guests of the event were Lieutenant-General Vladimir Gasparyan, Chief of Police, A. Tovmasyan, benefactor of Armenian descent residing in Moscow, family members of the police officers killed in the line of duty, top management of the Educational Complex, staff of the Educational Complex, cadets and other officials.

The event commenced with paying tribute and laying flowers at the memorial to police officers killed in the line of duty and Artsakh war followed by the opening ceremony of the monument dedicated to the Armenian Genocide Centennial. The ceremony proceeded with a mass in Vardan Mamikonyan chapel dedicated to the victims of genocide and police officers killed in the line of duty and Artsakh war.

For boosting sports in the Police Educational Complex, the opening ceremony of mini football area named after deputy head of police Onik Petrosyan was held. The mini football area was build with the sponsorship of Sozvezdie Fund. For demonstrating active cooperation and assistance to the Educational Complex, Chief of Police V. Gasparyan awarded the head of Sozvezdie Fund A. Tovmasyan with a medal “For Strengthening Cooperation”.

The event dedicated to the 97th anniversary of establishment of the Armenian Police concluded with the flag handover ceremony.
